Lamborn Getting Big Club for Growth Money

We forgot to post this last week…

Republican Doug Lamborn, one of a number of candidates running for congress in CD-5, announced last week that Club for Growth is aggressively raising money to aid his campaign. Click below for the full press release…

State Senator Doug Lamborn has received word from supporters all around the country this week that Club for Growth has begun an aggressive fundraising program to aid his campaign in Colorado?s 5th Congressional District.
Described by the Washington Times as ?A powerhouse Republican advocacy group?? the Club for Growth?s record in Congressional GOP Primaries this year is an impressive 6 and 1.? Last cycle Club for Growth members donated over $9 million to conservative candidates like Senator Lamborn and the Club for Growth PAC helped elect sixteen new Members of Congress.
?Already my campaign has seen thousands of dollars roll in from fellow conservatives who know I am the only candidate in this race with the proven experience to go to Washington and fight the tax-and-spend liberals,? stated Lamborn.
A Club for Growth fundraising letter (see attached), presumably mailed to their 35,000 nation-wide membership base, points out the ?stark contrast? between Senator Lamborn and his more liberal challengers.
?Others in this race claim to be conservative but their past records reveal just the opposite.? With me voters know they are getting a real conservative and they don?t have to rely on the flowery campaign rhetoric that my opponents allege,? stated Lamborn.
?I believe supporters are rushing to help my campaign because of my proven leadership to fight for tax and spending reduction, military and veteran concerns, illegal immigration reform, and the rights of the unborn,? continued Lamborn.
With little more that a month and a half before early voting begins for the August 8th Primary election, the donations from Club for Growth members are arriving at just the right time to help Senator Lamborn win election to Congress.
?With my corps of grassroots volunteers already laying the ground work throughout the district, this influx of donations will mean I can finish the race in a strong position to get my message of proven conservative leadership to every voter,? concluded Lamborn.
